RUF International

Tracey and Suzanne West moved to Atlanta in 2015 to work on the campus of Georgia Tech with Reformed University Ministries International. Tracey’s days are spent evangelizing and discipling graduate students and scholars from foreign countries, a large percentage of whom are from China and India. REACHING
THE GLOBE

Christ calls us to reach the nations with the hope of the gospel. ECPC supports cross cultural missionaries who are taking the good news to every tribe, tongue, and nation.

Julian & Rachel Bacon

Julian and Rachel met at Seminary in the Netherlands and, along with MTW (Mission to the World), shared a vision to plant a Reformed, Christ-centered, Gospel church in Brussels, Belgium. Brussels is a multi-cultural city embracing a “post-Christian” secular culture. Only 1% of the population consider themselves “evangelical”, while 27% consider themselves “Atheist”. There is a strong need and opportunity for the message of Christ.

Hope International Presbyterian Church was founded to be a beacon of light, remaining true to Scripture and standing on a vibrant reformed theological base. It seeks to engage the community in vital worship and Christian fellowship. The regular schedule includes Sunday worship services (in French and English), Sunday School, and 6 Bible studies. The church is now looking for larger space.

Manuel & Paula Chacaguasay

Manual and Paula live and serve among the Quechua people in Ecuador. Manuel is the pastor of a local church that also runs programs for children, provides food, and connects the Quechua to social and medical services. The Quechua are marginalized in society and the Chacaguasay family ministers to them in many ways. Manuel is also an iterant pastor who ministers to several small villages high in the Andes Mountains giving Biblical instruction and spiritual guidance. ELI (Equipping Leaders International) has begun to help provide Biblical teaching.

William & Sol Contreras

William and his wife, Sol, and son, Alex, arrived in Panama in 2015 fleeing from difficult political positions in Venezuela and looking for new opportunities. God led them to the new Presbyterian church plant pastored by Marc Summers. Marc, his wife, Sam, and ECPC reached out with the love of God and welcomed them. They all made the church their home, become naturalized citizens and live in Panama. William serves as a ruling elder, oversees the Youth Ministries, and with a church-sponsored coffee shop designed as an evangelistic outreach. William has long felt the very strong call of God to enter the ministry full-time and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in theological studies which upon completion will enable him to become ordained as a teaching elder, or pastor. William’s plans are to continue his full-time work with this growing church.

Chuck & Debbie Emerson

Chuck and his family first joined ECPC in 1992. Chuck served as a Ruling Elder at ECPC for many years, until being ordained as a Teaching Elder in 2010. The Lord’s call into full-time missions came in 2009, thrusting the Emersons into ministry training of pastors overseas with Equipping Leaders International (ELI). As ELI’s Assistant Director of Operations and Partnership Coordinator, Chuck oversees ELI’s staff, development of additional curriculum and translation of materials into local languages. Debbie is sometimes accompanying him. The Emersons are also assisting with the new PCA church plant in Tucker, which launched in 2020.

Dr G

Dr. G works with an evangelical ministry group whose goal is to reach the unreached peoples in India with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The ministry spearheads establishing and supporting local churches through training pastors and Biblical teachers who will serve their local communities.

The ministry also reaches out to children. In India, around 450 million children grow up worshiping idols as gods and goddesses. The ministry maintains and supports orphanages and local Bible-based schools. Training is held for local Christians who will witness to and teach the children in their villages. In recent years, Sunday School Teachers Training has been held with over 100 participants.

Christians in India are facing increasing government resistance and persecution. Pastors and their families, and church members are in danger of bodily harm, arrest, and severe punishment. Dr G faithfully follows God’s calling despite the obstacles he faces.

Dan & Rebecca Gregoire

Dan and Rebecca live in Slovakia with six of their eight children. They serve MTW working alongside Slovak pastors and the local denomination to plant more churches throughout Slovakia, about which Dan helps the team strategize. Each summer they help their church run an English camp which serves the community, spreads the news of Jesus. Rebecca oversees a preschool program in two Roma communities. Dan serves as an Elder in their local church and is a mentor to their Slovak pastor. Dan also works with the Roma regularly preaching, encouraging, and discipling believers where poverty and oppression have existed for generations.

François & Lisa Longeiret

François was born in France where his father served as a pastor for almost 70 years. He met his wife, Lisa, when she came to his church as a short-term missionary, and the two have been married since 1987. Lisa and François have been active in several PCA churches in the United States, and François is an ordained Ruling Elder in the PCA. He joined ELI in 2018, where his language skills make him a perfect fit to serve in French-speaking areas of Africa. In 2020 he went to Mali, Senegal, and Democratic Republic of Congo. He has provided online training with Mali, DRC, and Burundi, and translated courses into French. Recent events prevent safe travel to Africa, but online teaching is continuing to grow.
